A webinar on the topic ‘The role of youth in community service’ was organised by the NSS/YRC/RRC Units of the college on 30-05-2020 to bring an awareness among the youth of the society and how they should react in this pandemic situation.

The guest speaker who inspired the youth in this webinar was Dr. J. Sulaimam, Assistant professor and Research Supervisor, Department of Commerce, The New College, Chennai. Sir elaborated on the need for community service and how the youth should be enlightened to take up this cause for the good of the society. Around 100 participants, with a mixture of staff and students were present in the Webinar and they were inspired by the session. Various questions were asked and the session went on in a lively manner. The feedback form was sent in the chat at the end of the session and certificates of participation was distributed. The webinar came to a close with a word of Thanks to all the participants and the guest speaker.
