19.06.2026 - GRATITUDE WALK - WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY
On the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of St. Anne’s Arts and Science College organized a Gratitude Walk on 19th June 2026 to promote awareness about the importance of respecting, caring for, and protecting senior citizens. The walk aimed to sensitize students to the challenges faced by the elderly and encourage them to express gratitude for the wisdom, guidance, and contributions of older generations. Students actively participated in the event, carrying placards with messages advocating dignity, compassion, and support for elders. The programme successfully reinforced the values of empathy, social responsibility, and respect for senior citizens among the participants.
