07.07.2025 - MATHEMATICAL WINGS DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY
The Department of Mathematics, in association with the SIGMA Association, organized a departmental activity titled “Mathematical Wings: The Power of Mathematics in Aerospace” for B.Sc. Mathematics students on 7th July 2025. The event featured a chart exhibition created using various materials, where students explained the role of mathematics in aerospace engineering. Through this activity, participants explored the application of concepts like calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra in aerodynamics, structural analysis, and control systems. The event highlighted how math is essential in designing and analysing aircraft and spacecraft, while fostering innovation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. All B.Sc. Mathematics students actively participated and enriched their understanding of the connection between mathematics and aerospace.
