    21.03.2025 - NSS CAMP 2024-2025

    The NSS unit of St. Anne’s Arts and Science College successfully organized a seven-day Special Camp at Ambedkar Nagar, filled with impactful community service and learning experiences from the 21st till 27th of March 2025. The inaugural function set the tone for the camp, with the Dean of college development, Smt. Benedict Kumari, delivering an inspiring speech on leadership and social service, followed by the NSS pledge, cultural performances, and an orientation session. Throughout the week, volunteers engaged in various activities, including a door-to-door census, spreading awareness on health, hygiene, and government welfare schemes, and conducting an educational campaign on drug abuse, girls' education, and cleanliness. A medical camp provided free check-ups, medicines, and health awareness sessions, benefiting the local community. Environmental initiatives included cleaning drives at Nakathamman and Nagathamman temples and a tree-planting program to promote sustainability. The camp culminated in a grand valedictory function, where students shared their experiences, followed by a vibrant cultural program. The Principal, Dr. I Annammal Arputhamary and the local are counsellor appreciated the volunteers' dedication, urging them to continue their service to society. The camp left a lasting impact, fostering teamwork, social responsibility, and community engagement among participants.
