04.07.2025 - WORKSHOP ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT SWACHHATA PAKHWADA
As part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, themed "Swachhata is Everyone's Business," the clubs such as Eco, Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Innovations clubs collaborated with Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) and organized a Women Entrepreneurship Workshop on July 4th, 2025. Mrs. Indu Priya from Danirasa Foundation demonstrated how waste cloth can be creatively repurposed into mats, dolls, and eco-friendly bags, promoting both sustainability and entrepreneurship. Over 100 students from various college clubs actively participated. The session concluded with the Swachhata pledge led by VJ Karun and CPCL officials, reaffirming the collective commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Certificates were awarded to participants, and on July 20th, CPCL celebrated the event’s success in the presence of dignitaries including Shri Suresh Gopi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Tourism, and Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, MP, where St. Anne’s College was honored with a memento for its enthusiastic participation.
