On 7th August 2025, a guest lecture on “Commodity Derivatives” was organized for the Accounting and Finance students in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange Limited and Wisdom Xtra, Maharashtra. The session was conducted by Mr. Mohankumar R, an accomplished Ex-Banker, SEBI SMART Trainer, and Financial Planner with experience in the BFSI sector. The lecture provided an in-depth understanding of commodity markets, the role of derivatives in hedging risks, and their significance in financial planning. A total of 100 students participated and benefited from the session, which offered practical insights and enhanced their knowledge of financial instruments and market operations. The speaker also shared real-time examples from Indian and global markets, making the concepts more relatable and easier to understand. The session sparked active engagement and curiosity among students, many of whom expressed interest in exploring careers in financial trading and investment analysis.
