The YI Club of our college, in collaboration with the Anti-Drug Committee under the guidance of the IQAC, organized an impactful awareness session on Anti-Drug Abuse on 22nd August 2025 at the college auditorium. The guest of the day was Superintendent Shri Deepak Kaushik from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Chennai Zonal Unit, who delivered a thought-provoking address highlighting the alarming rise in drug abuse among youth, its detrimental physical, psychological, and social consequences, and the stringent legal implications associated with narcotics. He also shared real-life cases from his professional experience, urging participants to stay vigilant and act as responsible citizens in spreading awareness. As part of the session, all the students solemnly took a pledge to lead a drug-free life and to spread the message of awareness among their peers and society. The program created valuable awareness not only among students but also among staff and parents, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility in curbing this menace. Around 250 students participated actively, gaining insights and motivation to embrace a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, while the efforts of the YI Club, IQAC, and Anti-Drug Committee were well appreciated for making the initiative successful.
