05.03.2025 - CITIZEN CONSUMER CLUB GUEST LECTURE
The Citizen Consumer Club organized an event on "Consumer Rights and Protection" on March 3, 2025. The primary objective of the event was to raise awareness about the significance of consumer rights and the benefits of protection laws and acts. Dr. M. Selvaraj, the National Working President & CEO of the Consumer Confederation of India and Chairman of FEDCOT India, was the distinguished guest speaker. His insightful speech focused on consumer rights, protection laws, and acts, effectively educating the students on these crucial topics. Dr. Selvaraj emphasized the importance of being vigilant and informed consumers to safeguard their interests. The event also provided a platform for students to engage in discussions and seek clarification on various consumer protection matters.
The Citizen Consumer Club intends to organize similar events in the future to further enhance students' understanding of the fundamental rights of all consumer segments and to promote awareness of the responsibilities of a good citizen. By continuing such initiatives, the club aims to foster a generation of well-informed and responsible citizens who can contribute to the protection of consumer rights in society.
