11.08.2026 - TIRANGA FROM WASTE COMPETITION

The Eco Club of St. Anne’s Arts and Science College organised a “Tiranga from Waste” competition as part of the celebration of India’s 80th Independence Day, combining patriotism with environmental awareness. Second-year undergraduate students enthusiastically participated by transforming discarded materials into creative representations of the Indian Tricolour, applying their Environmental Science knowledge to a practical sustainability initiative. The activity highlighted the importance of waste management, recycling, reuse, and environmental conservation while promoting the concept of “Best Out of Waste.” It also sensitised students to the role of responsible waste utilisation in reducing pollution and protecting the ecosystem. The competition encouraged creativity, teamwork, and environmental responsibility, inspiring students to become conscientious citizens committed to building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
