The Pongal celebration at the College was conducted with great enthusiasm and traditional spirit on 13 January 2026, aiming to honour Tamil culture and foster unity and joy among students and staff. Rev. Mother extended warm Pongal wishes and inspired students through her speech, encouraging obedience, discipline, sincere study, and responsible growth. The celebrations commenced with a department-wise Pongal Making Competition, where teaching, non-teaching, and support staff collaborated, reflecting teamwork and cultural harmony, while the aroma of freshly prepared Pongal added to the festive ambiance. A colourful Rangoli Competition showcased students’ creativity, and traditional games, including Uriyadi, brought excitement and lively participation. A bullock cart-ride on a token basis provided a glimpse of rural tradition, while a captivating dance performance by skilled dancers highlighted the richness of classical and folk art forms. Overall, the Pongal celebration was a memorable event that blended tradition, creativity, and joy, leaving everyone with a strong sense of cultural pride and togetherness.
