16.02.2024 - DRUG DEMAND REDUCTION PROGRAM
The ‘Drug demand Reduction Program (NMBA)’ was organized by the Women Empowerment Club on 16 February, 2024 guided by the Higher Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. Students and youth are particularly vulnerable to the menace of substance usage of drugs and hence. this initiative alleviates the consequences of drug dependence amongst individuals, family and society at large. The Students community took a pledge to ensure that they do not experiment with any sort of drug. The program helped to create awareness about the effects of drug addiction, intervention to help change behaviour, and motivation to sustain recovery. Students were advised to avoid the temptation and Peer Pressure, seeking help for mental illness, examine the risk factors, and maintaining a well-balanced life.
