On September 3, 2022, the Greater Chennai Corporation presented the college with the Appreciation Award for Waste Management. In recognition of the efforts made by various organisations to keep Chennai city clean, the Mayor of Chennai, Mrs R. Priya, attended the ceremony. Dr Anusooya M, Head Department of Tamil and NSS Coordinator along with Mrs. Adela Samuel, Head Department of Accounting and Finance and IQAC Coordinator received the award on behalf of the college at Rippon Building.
