An International Seminar on the topic Banking: A Growing and Lucrative Sector was organised on 13th September 2024 by the Departments of Commerce, Corporate Secretaryship, and Accounting and Finance. The event featured Mr. Muhammad Sarfaraaz, a notable resource person from the Qatar Central Bank (QCB), Doha, Qatar, as the key speaker. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) from the U.S.A., and holds an International Certificate in Banking Risk and Regulation from GARP, U.S.A. He is also a Certified Career Analyst and a Certified Students Counsellor and Mentor.

The seminar focused on the growing opportunities and developments in the banking sector, highlighting its lucrative nature and its contributions to global economies. He spoke on the rapid expansion and profitability of the global banking industry and discussed how the banking sector has evolved into one of the most vital components of modern economies, offering numerous career opportunities and substantial financial growth. Overall, the lecture provided insightful knowledge on how banking continues to be a thriving industry with ample opportunities for growth and success. The 350 students who attended the session were enthralled with the exerts shared by the speaker.
