01.07.2026 - FIRST YEAR INAUGRAL
The Inaugural Programme for the First-Year students of the academic year 2026–2027 was held on 1 July 2026 in a warm and inspiring atmosphere to formally welcome the freshers into the St. Anne’s Arts and Science College family. The programme was graced by Dr. I. Annammal Arputhamary, Principal, Smt. M. R. Benedict Kumari, Dean of College Development, Smt. Archana, Public Relations Officer, and Dr. Murugesan, College Advisor. A special highlight of the event was the Chairperson’s video message from Rome, where she was attending the beatification process of the Servant of God, Thatipathri Gnanamma, inspiring students to uphold the institution’s values and legacy. Tmt. Uma, Sub-Inspector of Police, Singappen Special Task Force, Kolathur, delivered an enlightening session on discipline, personal safety, self-confidence, and responsible citizenship. The dignitaries motivated the students through their addresses, introducing them to the college’s vision, academic culture, opportunities, and expectations. The programme also included the reading of the college rules and regulations, enabling students to understand their responsibilities and campus discipline. The inaugural function concluded on a positive note, marking the beginning of a meaningful academic journey and instilling confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of belonging among the first-year students.
