17.08.2024 - INDUSTRIAL VISIT DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY
On August 17, 2024, the Department of Microbiology organized an industrial visit to 3470 PLUS Healthcare Pvt Ltd, a prominent medical coding company. The primary objectives of this visit were to observe the professional environment within the medical coding sector, understand the work ethic and dedication required, and to receive a Basic Medical Coding Completion Certificate. The visit was facilitated by Lavanya Devi, a trainer from 3470 PLUS, and Mohana Priya, a coder and medical coding trainer from Naan Mudhalvan. The group of 70 students engaged in a comprehensive session which included a meeting with the Managing Director, Mr. Balabaskar. Mr. Balabaskar provided valuable insights into the medical coding industry, shared motivational advice, and highlighted the potential career opportunities in this field. During the visit, students gained firsthand experience of the working environment at 3470+ Healthcare and acquired practical knowledge about the responsibilities involved in medical coding. The visit proved to be highly productive and educational, equipping the students with a clearer understanding of the medical coding profession and its significance in the healthcare industry.
