    21.08.2024 - SILENT STAND-IN FOR THE SAFETY OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN YI CLUB

    On the afternoon of 21 August 2024, the YI Club organized a poignant ‘2 Minutes Silent Stand-In’ to advocate for the safety and protection of women and children. This event took place during the break time in the Lunch Lounge, where approximately 150 students from various departments participated. The students actively engaged in the cause by creating and displaying impactful placards that highlighted messages of safety and awareness. Each participant held a candle, symbolizing hope and solidarity, while standing in silence for two minutes. The serene and reflective atmosphere emphasized the gravity of the issue and underscored the collective commitment to ensuring a safer environment for women and children. The silent stand-in effectively captured the attention of the campus community, fostering a moment of collective reflection and heightened awareness on the importance of safety measures. The event was a significant demonstration of solidarity and commitment from the student body, reinforcing the ongoing efforts to address and combat issues of safety and protection.
