02.09.2025 - BLOOD TEST AWARENESS PROGRAM
On 2nd September 2025, Red Ribbon Club (RRC), Under the IQAC organized a Blood Donation Awareness Programme. The session was led by Dr. Johnsy Jaya Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology who highlighted the life-saving significance and health benefits of blood donation while encouraging students to volunteer for this noble cause. The event saw active participation from students and staff, who engaged with enthusiasm and raised thoughtful queries. As part of the awareness drive, information was also shared on the importance of regular blood work in diagnosing and monitoring health conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and anemia. Common tests like Complete Blood Count (CBC), Basic and Comprehensive Metabolic Panels, Lipid Panel, Thyroid Panel, Cardiac Biomarkers, Coagulation Tests, and STI screenings were discussed for their role in evaluating overall health, organ function, and disease risks. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reinforcing the values of service and social responsibility.
