The Dramatics Club ventured into inviting a guest speaker from a trending social media video site YouTube, a novel idea for the institution. Ms. K. Haritha, Pori Urundai (YouTube Channel Owner) was the resource person. The crux of the webinar was on basics of starting a YouTube Channel and How can one monetize the same to make a living? The present world is so much digitalized and everything can be done with a tap of one’s Smartphone. The channel is owned, scripted, directed, edited and run by women only; these kind of gender sensitization is much needed for present generation girl children, to hone their skills. Updating oneself with such trending industry can be so helpful for students to own a channel or to put their creative ideas in them. The speaker kept the audience engaged throughout the session with her scintillating speech and information. Students were very active and raised many queries with regard to channel and content creation.
