25.09.2024 - SWACHH BHARAT DIWAS 2024 - COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
As a part of Swatch Bharat Mission various cleaning activities and awareness programs were organized from 16th September 22024 to 2nd October 2024. The community engagement event was scheduled on the 25th of September where the students involved in a campus and compound cleaning initiative. Eco club of the college along with CPCL and SPRINGS also organized awareness program to the public Say NO to Plastic. The materials required for cleaning the college campus and the compound wall was provided by CPCL Chennai. Mr. Srinivasan, Manager, CPCL Chennai, Dr. I. Annammal Arputhamary Principal, Eco club coordinators and Eco club students of the College actively participated in cleaning the compound wall by splashing water and they also removed all the plastic materials inside and outside the college campus. The Eco club students made the college and its surroundings plastic free and paper free zones. They also watered the compound walls of the college to make it dust free and cleared the playground by removing the wrappers lying scattered there. To combat climate change and make the environment plastic free CPCL distributed cloth bags to all the Eco club students and staff members. These activities will definitely lead to Swachh Nation
