30.01.2026 - ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS WEEK IN COLLABORATION WITH MADHAVARAM TRAFFIC POLICE
The Road Safety Awareness Week was organized on 30th January 2026 in collaboration with the Madhavaram Traffic Police by the Road Safety Club and YI Club to promote responsible driving practices and strengthen awareness of traffic regulations among students. The programme featured distinguished guest speakers including Mr. Ramesh, Motor Vehicle Inspector; Mr. Nedumaran, RTO (Vehicle); Mr. Ponnusamy, Motor Vehicle In-Charge; Mr. Shankaran, PA to RTO; and officials from the RTO Vehicle Administration Department.
The resource persons delivered motivating and informative speeches highlighting the importance of road discipline, adherence to traffic laws, and the life-saving value of safety measures such as wearing helmets and seat belts. They also explained various traffic symbols and rules, helping students gain practical knowledge essential for responsible road usage.
As part of the awareness initiative, prizes were distributed to the winners of the speech, essay, and poster-making competitions conducted earlier on the theme of road safety. The programme successfully instilled a sense of civic responsibility among students and reinforced the importance of being vigilant and law-abiding road users.
