06.03.2026 - WOMENS DAY CELEBRATION
The Women Empowerment Club and Entrepreneurship Club of St. Anne’s Arts and Science College jointly organized the Women’s Day Celebration on 6th March 2026 on the college campus with the theme “Retro Day,” under the blessings of Rev. Mother Dr. Leema Rosario SSAM, Chairperson. The programme aimed to celebrate International Women’s Day, promote women empowerment, and encourage creativity and entrepreneurial skills among students. The event began with a prayer song, followed by an introduction highlighting the significance of the day and theme, and a welcome address. The celebration also featured Desiya Udai Dinam, where students showcased diverse traditional attire, promoting cultural awareness. A Retro Fashion Walk added vibrancy to the programme, while an introduction and screening of the film Jai Bhim emphasized justice, equality, and the service of Mother Lucina towards tribal communities. The opening of Anne’s Bazaar (EDP stalls) provided students an opportunity to develop business and marketing skills. The programme concluded with lively DJ music and a vote of thanks, making the event a meaningful blend of awareness, culture, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.
