A Kaaval Uthavi App awareness session was conducted by Mrs. Kavitha, Sub Inspector of Police and Mrs. Rajeswari, Women Head Constable, Avadi Commissioner Office at the college campus on 9th December 2024. The session aimed to inform students and staff about the features and benefits of the Kaaval Uthavi app, a mobile application designed to enhance public safety by providing instant assistance in emergency situations. The police officers explained how the app can be used to alert authorities in case of distress, such as accidents, crimes, or health emergencies. The app allows users to send real-time alerts with their location details, enabling a swift response from police and emergency services. They also demonstrated the app’s interface, showing its user-friendly features and how to set up the app on smartphones. Throughout the session, the police team emphasized the importance of staying safe and informed, especially in emergencies, and encouraged everyone to download and familiarize themselves with the app. They also highlighted its role in strengthening the bond between the community and law enforcement. Students actively participated in the session, asking questions and seeking clarification about the app’s functionality. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, with the police urging students to use the app responsibly to contribute to the safety of the college campus and the surrounding area.
