The UGC NET/SET Training Programme was organized for II PG students on 06 August 2026 to strengthen their preparation for the UGC NET/SET examination. The programme covered Teaching Aptitude, Reading Comprehension and Research Aptitude. Ms. Vasumathy, Head, Department of English, handled Teaching Aptitude and explained teaching methods, learner characteristics, communication, problem-solving techniques and examination strategies. Ms. Elamathi, Assistant Professor of English, conducted the Reading Comprehension session, focusing on effective reading strategies, identifying key ideas, accuracy and time management through practice exercises. Dr. S. Vanmtt5fv athi, Head, Department of Corporate Secretaryship, handled Research Aptitude and explained research methods, research design, hypothesis formulation, data collection, sampling, research ethics and analytical skills. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students clarified their doubts regarding the syllabus, examination pattern and preparation strategies. Overall, the training programme was informative and beneficial, providing students with valuable guidance and enhancing their confidence in preparing for the UGC NET/SET examination.
