14.09.2024 - MOTHER GNANAMMA TROPHY - INTERCOLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT
The much-awaited Inter-Collegiate Sports Day was held on September 14, 2024, bringing together athletes from 14 prominent colleges for a thrilling day of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and competition. The event was graced by our esteemed Guest of Honor, Smt. Archana, Managing Director of Urbanascence LLP and the Public Relations Officer of our college, whose presence elevated the significance of the occasion.
With two dynamic sports on the agenda Throwball and Kho-Kho the day kicked off with enthusiasm as each college team showcased their determination and skill. The air was thick with excitement, and the cheering from the side-lines added fuel to the fierce competition on the ground. In the Throwball finals, it was a riveting face-off between two remarkable teams. With relentless teamwork of Shri Krishnaswamy College that clinched them the winners trophy. St. Anne s Arts and Science College put up a valiant effort, taking home the runners-up position with grace and pride. The Kho-Kho match was equally exhilarating. Soka Iekada College of Arts and Science triumphed with agile strategies and quick movements, earning the coveted winners title. St. Anne s Arts and Science College once again made their mark, emerging as the runners-up, showcasing their versatility across both sports.
The event wrapped up with a vibrant award ceremony, where the Inspector of Police, Traffic, Madhavaram Circle distributed the trophies and praised the athletes for their sportsmanship, resilience, and team spirit. His words inspired everyone present, reminding us of the importance of determination and teamwork not just in sports, but in all walks of life. This Inter-Collegiate Sports Day was not just a celebration of athletic prowess but a testament to the unity and competitive spirit that binds these institutions together.
