21.02-2024 - WORKSHOP ON PANDAS & DATA VISUALIZATION

The Departments of Computer Science, conducted a Workshop on Pandas & Data Visualization on 21 and 22 February, 2024. The workshop was conducted for two days in the Computer Lab with 60 students. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of using Pandas in Python for efficient data manipulation and analysis. In addition to Pandas, NumPy is another essential library in the Python ecosystem for numerical computing. During the workshop, the key features and functionalities of Pandas Data Import/Export, Data Cleaning and Pre-processing, Manipulation, Analysis, Data Visualization were discussed.

The Day 2 of the workshop projects in Exploring Python with Google Colab. A significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to teaching participants how to extract and manipulate data from datasets using Python. Key topics covered included Reading Data Files, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA).

In conclusion, the workshop provided participants with valuable hands-on experience in practicing Python programming within the Google Colab environment. By learning how to extract and manipulate data from datasets using Python libraries like Pandas, participants gained essential skills for data analysis and exploration. Moreover, the workshop demonstrated the convenience and accessibility of using online platforms like Google Colab for collaborative Python programming tasks. Overall, the workshop served as an effective introduction to leveraging Python and Google Colab for data-related projects and tasks.
