24.01.2024 - CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM
The Awareness program on cervical cancer & HPV vaccination was organized by the Women Empowerment Club on the 24 January 2024. Dr.S .Madhumathi MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MD KVT Health Centre, Chennai was invited as guest speaker for the day. January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. It is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness about cervical cancer and HPV vaccination. The guest speaker created awareness among the student’s community by explaining about the Cervical screening, Early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer. She emphasizes the necessity of educating people with knowledge about minimizing cervical cancer risks and the life-saving importance of regular screenings. 350 Students from various departments gathered and attended the program. The awareness program met its purpose as to remember the theme “Learn, Prevent and Screen”
