06.08.2024 - GUEST LECTURE ON DISCOVERING YOUR FUTURE IN IT
The Department of Computer Science conducted a guest lecture session on August 06, 2024 where 105 students attended with the aspiration to learn about the latest trends and career paths in IT. The session featured two speakers who were experts in their respective domains, Mr. Ashique Ahmed A R, Program Manager and Mr. Vignesh Krishnamoorthy, Assistant Program Manager from GUVI Geeks, IIT-M Research Park. The topics covered included an overview of the IT industry and its growth prospects, Emerging trends in IT, Career paths in IT, including software development, data analytics, and network administration, Skills required for success in IT careers and Tips for breaking into the IT industry and advancing ones career. The speakers shared their personal experiences and provided practical advice on how to navigate the IT job market.
