The Department of Tamil organized a Bharathiyar Poetry Competition on 7 August 2026 at the Auditorium to promote interest in Tamil literature. Students enthusiastically recited Bharathiyar’s poems, highlighting themes of women’s liberation, education, equality, patriotism, and social progress. The competition encouraged students to appreciate Tamil poetry and Bharathiyar’s progressive ideas. It enhanced their speaking skills, memory, poetic appreciation, and stage confidence. The event inspired students to embrace values of courage, self-confidence, education, and social equality.
