    23.01.2026 - AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON POST OFFICE SCHEMES

    The Citizen Consumer Club, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an Awareness Programme on Post Office Schemes to promote financial literacy and responsible economic practices related to savings, insurance, and investment options offered by the Indian Postal Department. The programme was held in the college auditorium on the 23rd of January 2026 for the  undergraduate students. The session was facilitated by officials from the Department of Posts, namely Mr. Ezhil Kumaraman, Assistant Superintendent of Post Office, Mr. Prince Johnson Charles, Development Officer, Postal Life Insurance, and Ms. Sunganthi, Post Master, Perambur. The resource persons provided detailed explanations of various post office savings schemes, deposit options, and Postal Life Insurance policies, emphasizing the importance of secure, systematic, and long-term financial planning for young individuals. The programme proved to be highly informative and encouraged students to develop informed and responsible financial habits.
